Ventra Fishing

Our story

We're building the fishing gear we wanted to own.

Ventra Fishing didn’t begin with a catalogue of products.

It began with fishing, frustration and a question: could compact fishing equipment be better?

Why we startedFilm in production

01The beginning

Compact made fishing possible.

I’m an angler who kept reaching for compact equipment, because compact equipment made fishing easier to fit around real life. Fishing with my children. Fishing on rivers. Fishing from the coast. Taking equipment away. Keeping a rod available for the sessions you don’t plan.

The convenience was brilliant. The compromises often weren’t.

Cheap components.

Poor guides.

Unrefined blanks.

Awkward packed sizes.

Products that felt like travel alternatives rather than equipment you’d choose to fish with. That became the starting point for Ventra Fishing.

Our approach

Fewer products.Harder thinking.

We don’t want to build the biggest fishing catalogue. We want to build fewer products and think harder about each one.

Compact.Capable.Beautifully designed.Technically credible.Made to travel.Made to be used.

02The journey

Where we are.

A development record we’ll keep adding to as Ventra Fishing grows.

  1. 01

    The idea

The frustration that started Ventra Fishing: compact gear that made fishing easier to fit around real life, but asked for too much in return.

  2. 02

    The first rod

Developing the V-73 — a telescopic travel platform designed to be chosen on merit rather than accepted as an alternative.

  3. 03

    Building the system

Rod. Reel. Lures. Protection. Carry. Products designed together so what you pack works as one kit.

  4. 04

    Field testing

Putting products into anglers' hands before release, and listening to what comes back.

  5. 05

    What comes next

Continuing to build the Ventra Fishing ecosystem, one considered product at a time.

We’re at the beginning.

That’s also the part I’m most excited about.

I want Ventra Fishing to grow by listening, testing, changing things when they aren’t good enough and creating fishing equipment that earns its place in your bag.

If something we build eventually helps somebody fish more often, then we’ve achieved something worthwhile.
